At Marylanders for American Security, we are passionate about long-term peace and security for the United States.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine directly challenges the current World Order, democratic self-determination, global peace and the international Rule of Law. If we fail to defend these fundamental principles by not supporting Ukraine, Russia will be encouraged to pursue further conquests, orchestrating a more catastrophic war in Europe and beyond. China, Iran, North Korea and other enemies of freedom are watching closely. We must not encourage them by our inaction.
Major disruptions to the World Order pose a direct threat to our security. Breaking our promise to support Ukraine would diminish U.S. credibility, weaken our deterrence, and encourage others to more directly challenge us.
